2nd Frankopan Days

Just one week is sharing us from the 2. Frankopan days, which will return Crikvenica briefly to the Middle Ages, a historical period that has left an important mark here.
The event was first organized in year 2012.
Prince Nicholas IV. Frankopan built a monastery along an abandoned church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and gave it to the monks, friars, of the St. Paul´s order on the 14th August 1412.
On the 28th  and 29th June 2013 Crikvenica will introduce to the visitors in a special and imaginative way the world of Frankopan and discover all the secrets of the Middle Ages.
At the medieval fair will be presented old crafts, traditional way of trading, their camps and numerous other attractions. Special experience will provide the knights tournaments, night siege, medieval entertainers, performances, processions od medieval groups, shooting from a catapult and fire juggling.
Visitors will be able to learn a lot of interesting new skills at workshops like archery, fencing,
miniatures, Glagolica letter and medieval cuisine. Musicians, singers, actors and entertainers will discover with words and movement how to entertain, play, socialize and enjoy in the Middle Ages.
The gastronomic offer will show the richness of the taste and smell of food and drinks of that time.

The opening festivity of the 2nd  Frankopan days is on 28th  June at 19 am in front of the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, next to the hotel "Kastel" in Crikvenica.
