The paddles of St. Jacob

In this cheerful, energetic and exciting event in Jadranovo, several teams of local men, women, and children row wooden boats from Tunera to the cove of Grabrova and back, urged on all the way by the beating of drums. Sometimes a paddle gets broken, but this race is all about the taking part and having fun, not winning. After the race there is a fishermen's fest, with plenty of good food on offer.
