There is an educational weekend ahead of uson the Riviera Crikvenica. To be exact, 15th and 16th of November 2014  an interesting free workshop called "Preserving dry stone walls at Kotor" will take place.
Kotor is the oldest settlements in Crikvenica and today town originates from Kotor, whose inhabitants were traditionally skilled bricklayers and masons, as evidenced by the many preserved historic buildings. Kotor is registered as an ethnic zone and formations of stone walls, or dry stone walls are an important part of the architectural value of the entire protected zone. Stone Walls at Kotor are part of the Mediterranean architectural heritage, evolving from prehistory to the 20th century and they are characterized by dry stone construction. It is necessary to preserve the knowledge of the construction of dry stone walls in terms of the intangible heritage of Croatia and Europe, but also to constantly maintain existing stone walls.
