„CROATIA 365" – Krk – Crikvenica-Vinodol – Rab: Where a holiday means something more
Croatian National Tourist Board announced in June this year a public call for selection of destinations for the pilot project PPS. The aim of the project is to develop attractive and competitive destinations that offer additional value in the preseason. So this project has united the city of Crikvenica and the island of Krk and later the cities Novi Vinodolski, municipality Vinodolska općina, city od Rab and Lopar minicipality joined. Name of the PPS destination is Krk - Rab - Vinodol - Rab: Where a holiday means something more. Our PPS destination with 12 tourist offices last year generated nearly 8 million overnight stays of tourists. The holder of the candidature is the Tourist Board of the City of Crikvenica, and the project coordinator is Marijana Biondić, director of the Tourist Board of the City of Crikvenica. Candidacy covers the period from the 1st of September to the 15th of October 2014 and five core products in PPS destination, such as culture, health tourism, gastronomy, active holidays and cycling.
This is a destination that unites the beautiful coastline, islands, forests and mountains, heals and strengthens, feeds with delicious and healthy homemade specialties. Entertains with sport, recreation and interesting events. Learns about valuable tradition and heritage, which is located at each step, reflected in the impressive buildings, monuments and material evidence.
