107th Šilo - Crikvenica swimming marathon

August is the ideal time for one of the oldest swimming marathons in Croatia. For more than a hundred years, the Šilo-Crikvenica swimming marathon has taken place every year on 15 August, the feast of the Assumption of Mary, the patron saint of Crikvenica. The 3.5-km route between Šilo on the island of Krk and Crikvenica on the coast is open to participants that are professional long-distance swimmers from Croatia and abroad but also to recreational swimming enthusiasts.

Men and women swim together, but the results are separated in 18 different categories:
