Poster exhibition "Fisherman`s Week 2006-2020"
After 15 years of successful cooperation between the Crikvenica Tourist Board and Hyper Design, we are proud to present a retrospective of all the visuals of our traditional event Fisherman's Week. With each new edition, the concept was created with the aim of celebrating the rich tradition of the people from Crikvenica, who are among the best fishermen on the Adriatic. We want it to be a unique and lasting reminder of Crikvenica's fishermen, whose original ideas, new methods and technical innovations in fishing, came to life around the world and enabled Crikvenica to be among the leading fishing center on the Adriatic in the early 20th century. The innovations of the brothers Ivan and Josip Skomerža were especially significant, who among other things introduced the first motor boat with trawl nets on the Adriatic and the first fishing lamp in the world that runs on compressed gas kerosene, made a deep sea trawling net and purse seines net, etc.
In addition to the characteristic sea images, the main motif of each visual is a recognizable sympathetic illustration of a fish, which invites viewers of all generations to jointly create new stories. Various graphic displays of the main motif (color, number, form, position) create a hidden story that triggers the interaction and reveals the hidden meaning that tells which of the Fisherman's Week it is.
